The CCHS Marching Panthers took advantage of an exciting opportunity on November 15th by attending West Virginia State University’s (WVSU) Annual Band Day in Dunbar. Nineteen members of the Marching Panthers joined more than 100 high school musicians from across West Virginia and Ohio, representing 16 schools in both the pregame and halftime performances.

Their dedication was unmistakable—every one of the nineteen students had spent the previous evening cheering on our Clay County Panthers during the first round of the football playoffs, celebrating the team’s big win over Roane, yet they still showed up ready to perform the next morning.

Throughout the day, our students took part in rehearsals, connected with college musicians, and experienced the excitement of performing in a university stadium environment. Their hard work, professionalism, and Panther Pride were evident from start to finish.

We are incredibly proud of our CCHS Marching Panthers for representing our school with excellence and enthusiasm.
